Ashford Hill Woods and Meadows SSSI

Meet at the Playing Field/ Cricket Club car park off a right turn into the southern (2nd) branch of Chapel Lane when heading south on the B3051 (SU555621), ///email.spill.eruptions). The site is a complex of woods and wet and dry meadows under different management, with a remarkably diverse flora and abundant insects and birds. Part is currently being grazed and the ground is uneven in places. We hope to see Dyer’s Greenweed, Greater Broomrape and a variety of marshland plants. Morning walk but bring a picnic if you would like to explore further; please contact us if you intend to come and may stay longer.
