Meet at Stephens Firs, Mortimer, RG7 3UY, a quiet street with ample roadside parking. We will walk along wide flowery rides through conifer plantations to a local hotspot for the Grayling, one of Britain’s fastest declining butterflies and recently upgraded to Endangered on the GB Red List. Despite the gloomy national situation, the local Grayling population is thriving.
