Meet at the Hants &IoW Wildlife Trust reserve car park on the east side of the B3349, 300 metres before M3 junction 5. The reserve consists of open heathland with ponds left from gravel extraction and woodland. It is grazed by cattle and ponies. We should see nationally scarce Marsh Gentians (over 900 counted last year) and other heathland plants including Petty Whin, Devil’s-bit Scabious, Sneezewort and Lesser Skullcap.
