River Thames at Sonning

Meet at the far end of Sonning Lane (B4446) off the A4 (SU756753), where it should be possible to find a parking space, which is usually impossible at the Bull Inn at Sonning where we could have our lunch afterwards. From Sonning Lane the walk goes through St Andrew’s churchyard to the River Thames and westwards on the footpath along the river, where hopefully many water plants should still be flowering at this time of the year despite the drought. The footpath also leads to a Nature Reserve, which we will explore, before turning back to Sonning and the Bull Inn for lunch. Please, let us know beforehand if you intend to come and also whether you need a reservation for the pub lunch.
