Meet at the car park at Impstone Road, Pamber Heath for a look at the varied geology of Silchester Common – Silchester Gravels, Bagshot Beds and London Clay. We will see the remains of pits where materials have been extracted in the past and inspect the streams and issues at the Gravel / Clay boundary.
