Coley and Southcote Meadows

Meet by the gate across the road at the southern end of Circuit Lane (SU692717). Come for a four mile walk through the Coley and Southcote meadows, past Fobney Island nature reserve and along the Kennet and Avon canal and the Holy Brook. The walk is mostly flat but may be muddy if wet. It has many habitats of interest and a surprisingly varied landscape, with the chance of rare migrant birds on some of the pools. We will see some venerable trees and ancient watercourses.
