The walk will be restricted to a maximum of 6 people (members only) and booking is essential. If there is sufficient demand, a second walk will be organised, also for a maximum of 6 people, starting at 2:00pm.
Park in the small car park at the south-east corner of Bramshill Plantation (SU760613). This SSSI is a large conifer plantation with many interesting ditches and ponds. Notable plants that should be in flower include: Southern Marsh Orchid, Bee Orchid, Lesser Skullcap, Lousewort and Yellow Bartsia; it also has a wide variety of dragonflies. About 3 miles on flat terrain that can be muddy.
To book (maximum two places), please send your provisional booking by email (rstallard (at) silurian.com) before the evening of Monday 15 June, indicating if you would like to come on the morning or afternoon walk (or either). Rob will then confirm whether or not your booking has been successful by email on Tuesday.
