Approaching from the North (Aldermaston village) with AWE on your left, go past the Young’s estate entrance and you will see a brown sign for the entrance to the park about 300m further on. However it is a No Right Turn, so you have to drive on to the next roundabout and drive back again when the park will be on your left. As you enter the site, drive past the car park on the right, go under the height barrier, continue along the road for 200m, then turn left and follow signs to the top car park. We will be looking in particular for the larval stage of dragonflies, but will do our best to identify other taxa as well. Paices Wood is a good site for adult dragonflies later in the year.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Leader: Alan Holmes Meet at Paices Wood Country Park top car park, off the A340 south of Aldermaston.
