SUMMARY:The Holies\, Streatley
DESCRIPTION:Leader: Jan Haseler \nMeet in the National Trust car park on the right hand side of the road at the top of Streatley Hill. The Holies has some of the finest Chalk grassland in Berkshire. Enjoy drifts of Wild Thyme\, Dropwort\, Squinancywort\, Chalk Milkwort\, Common Spotted-orchid\, Common Rock-rose and many more species. Hunt for the elusive Early Gentian. The site has very steep slopes. \n****** UPDATE 7th June ******* \nWe have decided to do the walk as originally planned as the weather forecast turned out better than was expected yesterday. It will probably end a little earlier than usual in case of midday rain.
