The Wednesday morning walks, which are a steady 4 to 5 miles in length, are of general interest, with the option of a pub drink and meal afterwards. Field meetings are more focused on an area or specific flora or fauna.

Meet at the National Trust car park, on the south side of Hill Road, Christmas Common, near the top of the hill. The site has wonderful views, fine chalk grassland, scrub and woodland – and some very steep slopes in places.
