The Wednesday morning walks, which are a steady 4 to 5 miles in length, are of general interest, with the option of a pub drink and meal afterwards. Field meetings are more focused on an area or specific flora or fauna.

Meet in the churchyard of Reading Minster of St Mary the Virgin (SU714733) for a walk round Reading town centre, the Forbury Gardens, Kings Meadow and Caversham Court, looking at trees and other wildlife in winter.
