TOLHURST ORGANIC GARDENS
From Whitchurch proceed east along Hardwick Road for just over a mile, where the road turns sharply left and the gates of the Hardwick Estate are in front of you. This is the meeting point if you come in the evening. Bring torches, wear warm clothing and be prepared to stay up late. To see the catch in the morning, drive through the estate gates and continue east for another half mile, then turn right when you come to buildings on the right. This leads down to the market garden where we will meet. Traps may be set up across the whole estate. Apart from the vegetable gardens there is a large floral meadow, downland and good woodland in the area. Leader: Norman Hall
