The Wednesday morning walks, which are a steady 4 to 5 miles in length, are of general interest, with the option of a pub drink and meal afterwards. Field meetings are more focused on an area or specific flora or fauna.

Grid Reference and start times are as stated. Please bring your own refreshments for all-day outings. For further information, or if you need a lift, please use the contact form. No dogs are allowed on Nature Reserves and in other places must be kept on short leads.

All persons attending our events do so at their own risk. No responsibility for any mishaps occurring during any excursion, walk or field meeting is accepted by the Society or by the walk leaders.

Hazeley Heath

Park in Springfield Ave (first left off B3011 as you enter Hartley Wintney) and meet near its junction with Primrose Drive (RG27 8SF).  Walk round Hazeley Heath, part of the Thames Basin Heaths SPA, for dry and wet heathland plants, including Heath Spotted-orchid and Intermediate-leaved Sundew, birds, butterflies and dragonflies.  About 4 miles with a few short hills.
