The Wednesday morning walks, which are a steady 4 to 5 miles in length, are of general interest, with the option of a pub drink and meal afterwards. Field meetings are more focused on an area or specific flora or fauna.

Crog Hill and Seven Barrows, Lambourn

Meet at the small car park adjoining the BBOWT Seven Barrows Nature Reserve (SU329827) just off the minor road from Lambourn to Kingston Lisle. There should be Pyramidal Orchids (including white-flowered variety) and Fragrant Orchids in bloom surrounding the Bronze Age burials and also a good selection of chalk downland plants. The 4 mile walk has no stiles and will be followed by lunch at the George Hotel, Lambourn.
