Coley and Southcote Meadows
Sunday September 22 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pmFree
Meet by the gate across the road at the southern end of Circuit Lane (SU692717). There is roadside parking, or catch the 26 bus to the junction of Circuit Lane and Southcote Lane. Come for a 4 mile walk through the Coley and Southcote meadows, past Fobney Island nature reserve and along the Kennet and Avon canal and the Holy Brook. The walk is mostly flat but may be muddy if wet. Lots of habitats of interest and a surprisingly varied landscape, with the chance of rare migrant birds on some of the pools. Some venerable trees and ancient watercourses. Leader: Adrian Lawson
