The Wednesday morning walks, which are a steady 4 to 5 miles in length, are of general interest, with the option of a pub drink and meal afterwards. Field meetings are more focused on an area or specific flora or fauna.

Grid Reference and start times are as stated. Please bring your own refreshments for all-day outings. For further information, or if you need a lift, please use the contact form. No dogs are allowed on Nature Reserves and in other places must be kept on short leads.

All persons attending our events do so at their own risk. No responsibility for any mishaps occurring during any excursion, walk or field meeting is accepted by the Society or by the walk leaders.

Meet in the National Nature Reserve car park, on the west side of the Christmas Common to A40 road, signposted from just to the north of the M40 bridge (SU732966). We could see 20 species of butterfly, including Silver-spotted Skipper and Chalkhill Blue, plus stunning chalk grassland flowers. Some steep ascents and descents. Leader: Ian Esland
